Camp Bastion, Afghanistan
In reality, Camp Bastion, the central home of UK forces in Afghanistan, is huge. The main runway is dwarfed by a mini-city made up of several large compounds, hangar-age, shops, living accommodation and support buildings. This scenery, in the interests of security, is completely fictional, but is based upon aerodrome charts published by the Afghan Air Traffic Authority which are in the public domain.
RAF Binbrook 1987
The home of the illustrious English Electric Lightning, RAF Binbrook was stuck on a plateau in the midst of the Lincolnshire Wolds. Made from library objects available from MAIW.
